<p>You need keywords which are frequently used by web users, yet not in high demand among your competitors. In order to find these keywords, there are many keyword research tools out thee which you can use. Other than Wordtracker, there are other tools including Google AdWords tool and Guidebeam.</p>
<p>Overture&#8217;s keyword tool which used to be free and a bit more faster than Wordtracker; in terms of functionality, it was similar to Wordtracker but will not let you know how many other websites are targeting that keyword or key phrase. The tool though was discontinued; the alternative now is Google keyword tool. If you feed in one word, this tool will give you all of the relevant combinations using this word along with the number of searches performed for them. If you entered something which is not being used very much, no results will come up; this tells you that few, if any searches have been done for that word or phrase.</p></div>
<p><span id="more-110"></span><br />
Google Keyword Tool gives you potential keywords for use in your SEO and marketing efforts and gives you the Google statistics on these terms, along with their search engine usage (and trends in the frequency of searches for these terms). Other features of Google Keyword Tool include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Sorting the results for your chosen keyword by popularity, history in the AdWords program, cost and predicted position.</li>
<li>Simple keyword manipulation &#8211; you can select keywords individually or add a large number at once.</li>
<li>Searching for keywords in any URL you specify. The tool can also search on pages linked to or from that URL.</li>
<li>The database of statistics is regularly updated, so that new keywords and key phrases are available as they come up.Guidebeam:</li>
</ul>
<p>Guidebeam.com is another good keyword tool. Search for a keyword or key phrase and it will also suggest related searches. The statistics it gives for each keyword or phrase is weighted by relevance. All of these keyword tools can be a great help to those who need to perform keyword research for the purposes of SEO for their own website.</p>

Alexa.com has become the standard for traffic ranking amongst monetized websites. In a nutshell, your Alexa rank is a measure of site integrity and quality. The higher your Alexa rank, the worse it looks for you. The number 1 ranking is the best while, say, number 5 million and two signifies low-quality content and hence low traffic numbers. Alexa is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, and like Amazon, has massive power and prestige. Whether you like it or not, people judge websites by their Alexa rankings.</p>
</div>
<p><span id="more-108"></span></p>
<p>Tips for Achieving a Low Alexa Ranking:</p>
<p>There are many ways that you can create a better Alexa ranking for your website. The first and most basic is to always develop high-quality content that is relevant and concise. Beyond that:</p>
<p>• You must have the Alexa toolbar installed in order to start being ranked by Alexa. You can get it here.</p>
<p>• Make your website worthy of developing backlinks by keeping the content accurate and relevant. Part of the Alexa algorithm measures the number of other quality sites that are linked to yours.</p>
<p>• You need to position an Alexa ranking widget on your website. It&#8217;s a simple maneuver in HTML. The code is provided for you conveniently at the link above.</p>
<p>• Gently encourage visitors to utilize the Alexa toolbar and install it on their sites as well.</p>
<p>• Get your colleagues, friends, family and visitors to rate your Alexa profile in a positive manner.</p>
<p>• Include posts in your blog periodically about how to increase your Alexa ranking.</p>
<p>Getting the picture? Alexa rankings can be enhanced in many ways. Here&#8217;s some more:</p>
<p>• Include blog content about how to enhance SEO and anything about domain registration and development. These two topics are revered by webmasters, and they are great people to have frequenting your site.</p>
<p>• Try placing a webmaster&#8217;s tool kit on your website. Keep bringing them back to your site for the convenience alone.</p>
<p>• Spend effort getting Stumbled and voted on in Digg. Huge traffic numbers can be gained in this manner.</p>
<p>• Utilize PPC campaigns to increase site traffic that is relevant and targeted.</p>
<p>• Spend a little cash and hire writers to promote your website on forums for you.</p>
<p>It may all seem like a lot of work, but it&#8217;s actually not so complicated. The point is that having a low Alexa ranking enhances the monetization capacity of your website. A low Alexa ranking means increased quality traffic &#8211; and that means more conversions for you. When your goal is to make conversions in the form of sales, or simply sign-ups, then a low Alexa ranking can be of certain help.</p>
<p>Overall, just remember to always keep the quality of anything that you place on your website optimized. That is the single most important method to achieve a lowered Alexa ranking. Keep pumping out the quality, relevant content and be patient. In time, you will see your Alexa ranking continue to drop.</p>
<p>A low Alexa ranking can mean big money for you!</p>

<p>Backlinking and SEO go hand in hand when it comes to attraction marketing. Let me explain each one before I tell you how to use them to your benefit. Have you ever read a Squidoo lens or article that had certain words or phrases that you could click on? If you notice when you click on one of those links it&#8217;ll take you to a website that the author directed you to. That&#8217;s what a backlink is, you can take words within your Squidoo lens, for example, and link those words to your website. When you include backlinks into your website it increases the chances of your lens coming up on the search engines.</p>
<p>This takes us to the next part of the article which is SEO, an abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is basically maximizing your chances of coming up on the search engines, with things like keywords or phrases and backlinking.</p>
</div>
<p><span id="more-98"></span></p>
<p>It&#8217;s difficult to explain exactly how to put a backlink into your lens and articles, so I&#8217;ve created a tutorial on my blog on how to do that.</p>
<p>Backlinking is very important when it comes to your lenses and articles because Google loves when you put them in your content. Content on the internet that&#8217;s linked to different websites and or videos are ranked higher with Google because they appear more important.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s one thing that&#8217;s really important when it comes to backlinking even though it sounds obvious to most people. When you backlink to your websites, make sure that the word or phrase that you&#8217;re backlinking is relevant to the website you&#8217;re linking to. For example, if you have a website based on overall nutrition and you write an article on women&#8217;s health, make sure that you link women&#8217;s health. Google loves to see relevant phrases link to relevant websites.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s something I learn until recently that will really increase your SEO.</p>
<p>You can really increase your SEO with backlinks that go to highly ranked websites according to Google. Here&#8217;s what I mean, in my tutorial I teach you how to obtain a tool called &#8220;Google Toolbar.&#8221; The Google Toolbar can be used for a multitude of things but the thing that is really important is the page rank portion of the toolbar. On the toolbar there&#8217;s a ranking system for every website according to Google, which makes this a tremendous tool to increase you SEO.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll give you an example, when you have this tool on your toolbar and you go to a site like youtube, you&#8217;ll see most of the bar fill up with green. If you hover your mouse over the &#8220;pagerank&#8221; part of the toolbar and you&#8217;ll notice that it says 8 out of 10. This means that Google holds youtube in high regard so if you put a backlink to your youtube channel or a youtube video, your SEO will be very high.</p>
<p>Another great thing about this tool is that you can click the down arrow next to the page link and you can select, &#8220;similar pages&#8221; which takes you to all the pages with a similar rank. This is another tool that can help you in a tremendous way, if you link to these sites Google will literally be in love with your content, and you&#8217;ll be on the front pages in no time.</p>
<p>Backlinking can really help you on the search engines, but you want to make sure to implement my tips so that you can start ranking highly on Google. Don&#8217;t just backlink and think you&#8217;re going to make it on the top of the search engines, you have to be strategic with your backlinking. Just like anything else, it&#8217;s going to take practice but once you&#8217;re used to it, you&#8217;ll start showing up on Google, at will.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We know your what your problem is! You have a website for a long time, and nobody comes in and the people that come are not interested in your services or products. We know this as we have made mistakes ourselves before, until we found what was stopping them from coming and staying.</p>
<p>To explain this matter, we will give you a practical example of a website:</p>
<p>http://www.myefacts.com</p>
<p>This website has a lot of content, and hundreds of keywords all around it. If you go to this site, you may say &#8220;WOW, this site should do really well, it might have thousands of visitors every day and as a result earns a lot of money with his advertisements&#8221;. If you think like this, I am afraid you are terribly mistaken. This site has very little visits, and the visits it has, are mostly from 0-30 sec. This means, this site is very bad designed from the point of view of seo.</p>
<p><span id="more-95"></span></p>
<p>1. Its design is not appropriate, it could be better, but this is not the most important! It covers way too many topics: Acne, Advertising,Aerobics &amp; Cardio, Affiliate Revenue, Beauty, Blogging, RSS &amp; Feeds, Book Marketing , Book Reviews, Branding, Breast Cancer, Broadband Internet, Muscle Building &amp; Bodybuilding, Careers, Jobs &amp; Employment, Casino &amp; Gambling, Coaching just to name some of them. If you want to advertise this site, you will have to spend hundreds of hours, thousands of dollars and we will not guarantee you get back the money you invested. You will need to start with each topic and look for good keywords with little competition, build backlinks and write articles about them. It is simply not worth it! What else?</p>
<p>2. Their topics are not related to each other. This is a very important thing to take into account. You will have to build the marketing separately, as if each topic was a different website. You cannot unite them by keywords that could relate them, because that is simply impossible as each topic has nothing to do with each other. What can we do to improve this?? Just stay focus on one single issue and build one site per topic. Dont try to be so ambicios of putting too many unrelated content to your site because it will be pointless and customers would like to stay away from it.</p>
<p>Good practices: examples of sites with high segment marketing: http://www.buyracingflags.com and http://www.ebooktown.net</p>
<p>These 2 sites are highly recommended.<br />
The first one, buyracingflags is about flags of cars and motorcycles. It covers just one huge topic which is motoring, but it is specially designed for it and the marketing is much easier. You need to find keywords related to what it is being sold, and usually every visitor that comes in, will be interested in other products besides the keyword he typed and resulted in his visit. For example, if he entered to the site by typing: &#8220;flags for early corvettes&#8221; he might be interested in other sportscars besides corvettes such as viper.<br />
The second site ebooktown, is all about ebooks. Most of them are related to how to profit online. As the other site, people that find interesting a keyword related to profit, can find many ebooks related to that, and can get him to buy multiple ebooks.</p>
<p>As a result, we would recommend to stay focus on one thing against having the temptation of having a website with a lot of content you will never touch and market. When you go to the university, you need to choose what would you want to study. You cannot be an engineer, a doctor, a football player, and a dentist. Most of the people pretending to be many things at the same time are a fraud and in very little cases they do know what they are talking about.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people failed to make enough money on the internet because they never manage to drive enough traffic to their websites even though they monetize their website well. Writing a good article with great content is not just enough, you need to submit it to article marketing, social content and social networking sites as well.</p>
<p>I would like to recommend 3 most effective ways that can be used to get your article indexed in search engines (particularly Google) fast and possibly within less than a day.</p>
<p>Powerful Tool 1 : EzineArticles</p>
<p>EzineArticles is basically an article database on all topics. It is the best way for you to gain an extremely valuable inbound link by writing an article with good content and submit it to them. It is very important that you should remember to include a link to your website with the right keyword in the author&#8217;s signature.</p>
<p>Well since Google loves EzineArticles and crawls the website for new content several times an hour, there is no need for you to wait for weeks to get your article indexed in search engines. Best of all, your article gets syndicated too so you get even more inbound links. Now if you sign up, you get to submit 10 free articles for a start for free. Whenever I post a new article, I would definitely submit it to EzineArticles for sure.</p>
<p>Powerful Tool 2 : Digg</p>
<p>Digg is a user driven social content website. Everything on Digg is user-submitted. After you submit your content, other readers read your submission and vote (Digg) for what they like best. If your story receives enough Diggs, it&#8217;s promoted to the front page for other visitors to see. Recently, there are news that Google is acquiring Digg. If it really turns out well, Digg will be part of Google&#8217;s family and naturally submitted contents will be more favourable for search engine ranking.</p>
<p>Powerful Tool 3 : Squidoo</p>
<p>Squidoo is an interesting social networking site that allows users to build free, single-page marketing page (called a squidoo lens) to flip and market it. Due to its web influence and size, Squidoo lens can easily skyrocket to the top of Google Index in a short week or even a few days. Due to this loophole, there have been news that spammers and black-hat marketers are abusing this tool which force both Google and Squidoo to take action against them.</p>
<p>However, in my own opinion, Squidoo is still a very powerful tool yet more effort is required now to create a good quality lens to avoid being identified as spam. I have previously written an article on &#8220;Making Money On The Internet With Squidoo&#8221; which you can read more about this wonderful marketing tool.</p>
<p>Once your article gets indexed by search engine and if you work on improving your ranking well, it is not surprising that your website will begin to gain tons of traffic when it ranks high. My previous article on &#8220;Improve Your Search Engine Ranking Easily For Free With A Simple Software&#8221; will teach you an easy way to improve your search engine ranking.</p>

<p>How To Increase Your Site&#8217;s Popularity?</p>
<p>This the question of which the answers you might be searching for hours on the net and getting dissatisfied again and again.</p>
<p>As you might be knowing that of the total of the internet search, Google has a share of 50%, Yahoo of 30% and MSN of 20% leaving other search engines like Altavista, Yamour, etc.</p>
<p>So if you want to increase the popularity of your site, you must, at first, try to increase the Google Pagerank of your site which can be done only after you have got your site in Google&#8217;s Directory. And to do this you might fill the add url form provided by google. But don&#8217;t do that &#8216;cos it is not likely to help you!</p>
<p>To add your url you must get your link on other site which has got pagerank. Why, I&#8217;ll explain it now; Google searches or crawls to search the required result, it means for example the search word is &#8220;weight loss&#8221;, so Google would first search an site of that keyword from its directory then search links on that site on that keyword for further results. And you can get indexed in Google within 48hrs. If you ask a site with higher pagerank to put your link on his site for some amount of money.</p>
</div>
<p><span id="more-75"></span></p>
<p>That would probably an easy way to get your site indexed.</p>
<p>Then lets think of bringing traffic to your site. You can give your site to a PTC site which would give you visitors, but not true visitors. In the eyes of Google the less words your title has, the more weight you gain.</p>
<p>So to get a nice title for your site, I recommend you to download GoodKeywords from www.goodkeywords.com and do research on the main subject of your site. Then get a title with good popularity but less competitors.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The PageRank of a website is determined largely by the importance, or popularity, of the site based on the PageRank of the sites linking back to it. You must take advantage of quality backlinks to increase the PageRank of your site.</p>
<p>What are backlinks?</p>
<p>Plain and simple, backlinks are links that point back to your site. They are links you have exchanged with or received from other sites, as well as links placed strategically by you in forum posts, blog posts and comments, and the resource box of submitted articles. The submission of your site to website directories also provides backlinks that are highly favored by search engines.<br />
<span id="more-54"></span><br />
Ideally these links, especially those placed in your forum signature and resource box of published articles (see my related article &#8220;Your Signature &#8211; An Internet Marketing&#8221;), will contain keywords in the text of the link to create &#8220;anchor text.&#8221; For example,</p>
<blockquote><p>&lt;a href=&#8221;http://www.googlepagerankchecker.info&#8221;&gt;Online tool for pagerank checking&lt;/a&gt;</p></blockquote>
<p>instead of</p>
<blockquote><p>&lt;a href=&#8221;http://www.googlepagerankchecker.info&#8221;&gt;Click here&lt;/a&gt; for online pagerank checking.</p></blockquote>
<p>Placing keywords in the text of the link anchors your keyword(s) to your url rather than anchoring &#8220;Click here&#8221; to your url. Not only do you have a backlink to your site, you have created a link of higher quality that includes the keywords you are targeting in your overall marketing campaign.</p>
<p>Why do I need backlinks?</p>
<p>The number of quality backlinks linking to a site is one of the main criteria used by Google and other search engines to rank and place websites. This statement, written by David Austin in a Feature Column of the Monthly Essays on Mathematical Topics, sums it up: &#8220;The fundamental idea put forth by PageRank&#8217;s creators, Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page, is this: the importance of a page is judged by the number of pages linking to it as well as their importance.&#8221;</p>
<p>With this all-powerful statement from the creators of Google, the importance should be clear: you need backlinks to attract the robots that determine the importance of your website. The value of your page, your website, in the eyes of Google&#8217;s robot lies in the number and quality of the links that it finds from other sites to yours. As the number of other popular, high-ranking sites find your site worth linking to grows, your popularity goes up along with your position in the search results.</p>
<p>Additionallly, quality backlinks are needed to entice search engines to stand up and take notice.</p>
<p>Quality backlinks are</p>
<blockquote><p>* links from websites that have a higher page rank than your site<br />
* links from websites that have content or purpose related to your site (also known as relevance)<br />
* links that include anchored text, especially in forum and blog posts and the resource box of published articles<br />
* links that are built naturally over time, not a sudden increase in links just for the sake of having a high number of links</p></blockquote>
<p>Quality backlinks are also helpful in leading visitors to your site. In this regard, backlinks are much like bread crumbs left by Hansel and Gretel to find their way back home. When your site is new, the robot will not place your site at the top of the results list immediately no matter how much time and effort went into the design and SEO of your site. Links from other sites that searchers are likely to find could lead them to your site if they look through the links page to find related products that might be available on your site.</p>
<p>In addition, links placed in posts to forums and blogs and the resource box of published articles have the potential of being seen and followed by thousands of visitors every day. If the forums, blogs, and article directories have high page ranks, you have more than just a link for visitors to follow, you have a quality link that will serve to increase your page rank as well as your traffic.</p>
<p>Google has made it very clear that the importance of a site in the eyes of Googlebot is greatly influenced by the number and importance of the pages linking to it. In order to increase your Google PageRank, your website&#8217;s importance in the eyes of search engines, seek out links from higher-ranking sites that have related content, include anchored text in your signature for forum and blog posts as well as your resource box in articles, and let links build naturally over time. These practices will be a valuable part of your overall marketing strategy.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are millions of dollars and multiple hours spent every day trying to increase website traffic, by both ethical and unethical means. There is so much demand for traffic solutions that people will go to any lengths to get ranked higher in the search engines. But did you know that you could increase your traffic by about 20% right now, with virtually no effort?</p>
<p>Most times when you hear something like this I suggest that you turn tail and run as it will normally lead to your site’s ranking demise. This particular method of boosting traffic, however, is not a scam; it’s not an unethical ploy; it is a genuine method of increasing traffic via a future internet standard. The reason that you can increase your traffic so vastly is because you are getting in on the ground floor of a new technology which will revolutionize the internet and the way that traffic is distributed.<br />
<span id="more-50"></span><br />
To understand what we’re about to tell you, you need to understand what an RSS feed is. Put simply, it’s a standard format for sharing your content instantly with users and other websites. People can quickly get access to ‘teasers’ for your latest newsletters, articles, blogs, content and more, and click through to see the full version. This method of distributing your information is very helpful because it basically generates dynamic newsletters without spamming and without causing your visitor any grief at all. </p>
<blockquote><p>In fact, many users find RSS to be their preferred way to hear about updates as RSS is so fast, user-friendly, and (most importantly) dynamic.</p></blockquote>
<p>RSS feeds are often used by news sites or blogs, as the content changes often enough to make it worth while. By using highly targeted RSS feeds, you can improve your site&#8217;s web content without having to write it on your own – if someone offers you an RSS feed of their site, you can add it to your site easily. This provides you with a good content base which will keep visitors coming back. The more information that people associate your site with the more important they consider your site. The more important they consider your site, the more important search engines will consider your site. Providing RSS yourself will get lots of people to link to you and so potentially improve your search engine rankings. Why?</p>
<p>1. RSS feeds can provide good, relevant content for your website – there are plenty of RSS publishers with themed content for you to choose from. These highly-targeted feeds will often contain your keywords, and so increase the keyword relevancy of your website. This helps even more than you may think as the key words will be within link or “anchor” tags. Search engines value anchor tags almost as much (if not more than) header tags (h1-h6).</p>
<p>2. RSS feeds can provide new, fresh content. When new content is added to them, the old content drops off, making sure that your website’s content doesn’t go stale. Most of your visitors will not visit your site if they find that there is nothing new between the first and second time that they visit it. If you want to keep your visitors where they belong, you have to have a good selection of content that is updated on a regular basis.</p>
<p>3. RSS feeds can get search engines to crawl your site more frequently – daily in some cases. This helps your site to rank higher in the search engines, and gives you an advantage over your competition. Your RSS feed can do your SEO work for you.</p>
<p>RSS feeds can be great for getting your newsletter, articles, or blog onto other people&#8217;s sites, and that’s very powerful, as long as you make sure that your RSS feed is adding more to your business than it takes. In some situations, you might find that including RSS on your page makes visitors click away from your site, as they find that site’s content more interesting than you – and people who click on RSS links might be less likely to click on ads. Use caution with RSS feeds, or you could be in for a shock.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This article covers the rising rate of fraud in the industries of selling expired domains and selling used domains.</p>
<p>Recently I purchased some domains from a broker that were good domains and looked to be well established (they had good PageRank). However, when I &#8220;got them home&#8221; so to speak, they were far from what I thought I had purchased. In my investigation into this, it was clear the domains I had purchased and many of the domains being sold today from brokers (especially on eBay) are littered with fraud.</p>
<p>Domain names are investments, and any investment should researched. Never make the assumption that the domain broker has done this research for you. Chances are, they haven&#8217;t.</p>
<p>Just as there is fraud in PPC, there is fraud in domain purchasing. Just because the Google Toolbar states a PageRank 5 doesn&#8217;t mean it is.<br />
<span id="more-48"></span><br />
First, let&#8217;s discuss the process and how the con artist works. Most SEOs and knowledgeable webmasters know the value of a high PageRank site. And how it can take months, even a year to get a solid PageRank 5 site. So, many SEOs and webmasters turn to domains being sold to get a jump start on the process. Their thinking is, &#8220;If I spend a few thousand on this site, it will shave months off my work schedule.&#8221;</p>
<p>The thinking is sound, but unfortunately, the bad guys know you are thinking this and they take advantage of a &#8220;loophole&#8221; in the system that isn&#8217;t known to most SEOs.</p>
<p>The Google Toolbar.</p>
<p>Google really didn&#8217;t know they were starting &#8220;addictive behavior&#8221; when they first introduced their toolbar back in 2002. Now, millions of webmasters all have &#8220;Green Bar Addiction&#8221; and they watch their PageRank values often as closely as the stock market.</p>
<p>The Loophole:</p>
<blockquote><p>In order to protect their algorithm from their competition (Yahoo! and Microsoft) and &#8220;black hat&#8221; marketers, Google publicly shows &#8220;delayed&#8221; PageRank. Much like the free stock quoting tools online are 15 minute delayed, the Google Toolbar is delayed too. Only, it isn&#8217;t just a few minutes, but 3-5 months.</p></blockquote>
<p>So, the PageRank you see displayed, is actually the PageRank the page had sometime in the past few weeks or months. I am sure you know where this is going now.</p>
<p>Google updates their toolbar about once every three months. So, the con artist does one of two things usually. The first is that they will hijack the PageRank on another domain. I won&#8217;t go into how this is done, so amateur thieves can&#8217;t replicate it. The second way they do this is that they will buy or beg for temporary links from other sites or networks, drive up the PageRank to a 5 or 6 and once the toolbar updates, they cancel all the bought links which lowers the real PageRank to zero. You see, even though Google &#8220;delays&#8221; the showing of the PageRank by a couple of months, they use the current values in their ranking process.</p>
<p>So, even though the site can &#8220;verify&#8221; it is a PageRank 5, the actual value (what Google currently counts) is 0. You basically bought a &#8220;vapor domain.&#8221; Here is a systematic way to check to ensure what you are being sold is genuine. Your &#8220;Gotta make sure this Rolex is really a Rolex&#8221; cheat sheet:</p>
<p>1. The first thing to do is to just go to the site directly and see if the PageRank is the same as advertised. Sometimes the con artist gets lazy and doesn&#8217;t realize a toolbar update happened and their &#8220;PR5&#8243; site is actually displaying &#8220;PR0&#8243;.</p>
<p>2. While you are there look at the site. Is the domain online? Is the site still live or is there a &#8220;placeholder&#8221; page? If it is a placeholder, the domain is probably dead.</p>
<p>3. Next you want to look at the site&#8217;s history. When was the domain registered? To whom? Where is it hosted? Is it on its own IP or is it sharing with hundreds or thousands of other domains? What was the site before?</p>
<p>A great place to start your research is DomainTools.com There you can find key information of when the domain was registered, where it is hosted, and if the domain has its own IP address or not. If it is sharing an IP address, you can access the Reverse IP Tool and often you can uncover networks of sites. This does require at least a Silver Membership which runs $15.00 a month. It will also tell you if the domain is on any email black lists.</p>
<p>To find out what the site was before, you can use the Way Back Machine at www.archive.org. The reason you want to do this is if the domain you are wanting to acquire was a child porn site five years ago. You would want to pass for obvious reasons.</p>
<p>4. Is the site listed in the Google index? Just because it has PageRank, doesn&#8217;t mean it is still listed, so check. The best way to do this is to check the Google Cache. Do a query in Google for &#8211; cache:domain.com (home page check) cache:domain.com/subpage.html (sub page check). Please note that if there are no results that come up, the site could not allow Google to cache the site. If that is the case, use the site: command instead. I like using the &#8220;cache&#8221; command first as that allows me to see the most recently indexed page and what it looked like. If it is different than what is currently displayed, that could be a red flag.</p>
<p>5. Verify the PageRank is legit. In the domain buying space, PageRank is often faked &#8211; especially on eBay or other auctions. I have been a victim of this in the past.</p>
<p>So, how can you protect yourself? Easy. You can use a free tool over at SEO Logs. Just type in the domain and it will check. If it comes back and verifies that it is valid, are you safe? Not quite. One more check.</p>
<p>Use the PageRank Predictor from iWebTool. It will give you a prediction based on current link counts from MSN. You should also check Yahoo!&#8217;s Site Explorer. These are two great resources because they update their links on a weekly basis, whereas Google updates theirs about once a quarter.</p>
<p>That was a lot to digest, I know, but this is how I make sure that I never get taken when buying domains. Getting ripped off is never something that is pleasant &#8211; and domain fraud is a killer as your ability to recoup your loss is slim to none.</p>
<p>Now you have the knowledge that you need in order to verify what is being presented to you is real.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How would you like to obtain a backward link from a page rank eight page? Now I imagine and would hope that most of you who have your own website would have answered yes to this question. If your site was to only ever obtain this one link, it would still become at least a page rank five site. In this article I am going to write about how you can obtain one of these hugely powerful links for free.</p>
<p>Now I can imagine that some people are thinking, is this guy for real? Well yes I am actually is the answer to this question. I have been promoting other peoples websites for a number of years now and in that time I have met and spoken to a lot of very interesting and educated (in web marketing terms) people. Around a year ago, I had a conversation with a man called Roger who ended up changing my focus in web marketing in a big way.<br />
<span id="more-41"></span><br />
Roger has a number of very well known businesses that he works for. He is an established and well known web marketing expert and I felt quite privileged when he agreed to spare me his time for a couple of hours one Saturday afternoon. I explained to Roger the ways in which I was currently promoting sites and he replied, young man there are much much easy ways of marketing a website. This is when he started to talk about obtaining links on pr8 pages.</p>
<blockquote><p>Roger stated that he spends his time locating sites which have a homepage page rank of eight. He will then contact the webmasters or owners of these sites and will offer his services to them for free in exchange for a link on their site. Now of course a lot of them will say no but you only need one to say yes to make it worth while.</p></blockquote>
<p>Roger of course is an expert in website promotion and is therefore more likely to receive a positive answer than you or I. We do still have value however, why not offer to write and submit twenty articles for them each week? Give it a go, you may well strike gold.</p>
